Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 2026
We want everyone to be able to use inplumbing.co.uk, regardless of ability or technology. This statement explains how accessible the site is, what we’ve tested, and how to report any problems.
What we’ve done
We have built the site with the following accessibility features in mind, aiming to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA:
- Semantic HTML throughout
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements can be reached and activated using a keyboard
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Sufficient colour contrast (text meets or exceeds AA contrast ratios)
- Skip-to-content link for screen-reader users
- Meaningful alt text on photos (or descriptive role/aria-label on placeholders)
- Form fields with proper labels and error messages
- Headings used in a logical order (one H1 per page, then H2 → H3 → H4)
- Descriptive link text — no “click here” links
- Mobile-first responsive design that works at any screen size
- Reduced-motion respected (no auto-playing video or scroll-hijacking animations)
Known issues
We are not aware of any major accessibility issues at this time. If you find one, please let us know.
